MEDIA ADVISORY

On Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM, Mayor Aina DeViet and Councillor Debbie Heffernan will be at Heritage Park in Ilderton to official open the updated washrooms and new accessible washroom.

Completed with $150,000 in funding through the Ontario Trillium Foundation Resilient Communities Fund, the new washrooms allow for all visitors to visit and participate fully in park events. The washrooms support the municipality’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion, as outlined in the Accessibility Policy, Community Services Master Plan, and Age-Friendly Community Action Plan.

In addition to the mayor and councillor, an Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer will attend the event to mark the work done as a result of receiving a grant from the Foundation.
