Water Service Interruption: Ballymote, June 9, 2021

Attention: Ballymote Municipal Water Users

Wednesday June 9, 2021

The isolation of the Ballymote Water Distribution System is required in order for The City of London to complete a water valve repair. It is expected that your water service will be shut off temporarily from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.  Those who will be affected by the shut off will receive a notice to their home.

It is suggested that a short-term water supply be stored before the interruption for use during the shut off. While every effort will be made to complete the work on time, it may be necessary to have the water off longer.

When the water is turned back on, air in the pipes may make the water cloudy and your plumbing may vibrate or make noise. If this happens, you can remove the air by briefly turning on your taps from the lowest to the highest faucet in the building (that is, starting in the basement/first floor, and finishing on the top floor). Flush the toilets as well. You should only have to run the water for 10 to 30 seconds, but keep running it until the water is clear and any vibration or noise has stopped.

We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause and will work to restore your water service as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.
