Interim Tax Bills Issued

Tax bills are heading out this week by email and post.

Middlesex Centre issues two property tax bills a year - an interim bill in February and a final bill in August.

The interim bill is based on 50% of the previous year's taxes. It is split into two instalments.

You'll notice that we’ve changed the due date for your first tax instalment, which is traditionally due in February, to March 31, 2021. This is in response to the stay-at-home order issued by the Province of Ontario in January.

With regards to the change in due date, please note:

  • If you pay by Pre-Authorized Payment with monthly billing, funds will be withdrawn at your usual schedule.
  • If you pay by Pre-Authorized Payment when your bill is due, your first payment will come out in March.
  • Any prior outstanding balances on your property taxes and/or utility bill will continue to accrue interest.

If you don't receive your tax bill please contact the municipal office. Not receiving a bill does not relieve you of any penalty charges that might arise from late payment.
